Good Morning DaVita Village!
I hope you all had a happy and healthy weekend. As I mentioned it was a special one for us as our daughter graduated from college. The graduation ceremony yesterday was thought provoking and emotional. Corey Booker, the Mayor of Newark was the Commencement Speaker, and he did a strong job.
We had to leave the house at 8:15, however, and I was not up for getting up early two weekend mornings in a row. This turned out to be a mistake, as we did not leave campus until about 3 pm and we had family and close friends coming over at 5:00. But I did get permission to squeeze in a strong 30 minutes on the lifecycle and a few minutes of stretching, for a total of 34. Not good for a weekend, but the best I could do.
Today I am flying back to Denver, the plane took off at 7:35 am. Tomorrow I fly to DC for some important government meetings. Wednesday I fly to Michigan to meet with a member of our Board of Directors. But on Thursday I will be scoring amazing MTM Points, as it will be the first of 4 days of mountain biking in Utah.
I will be booked until 10 pm tonight and have to pack for the upcoming trip after that. Then tomorrow I will be booked in DC until about 10 pm – so I will hope to read and respond to some comments tomorrow night, if I cannot do some while flying during the day.
We are now over 3500 teammates, arms joined across the nation and world, a true Village for Health. A Moving Village, given all the minutes of exercise being put on the table by you guys! Ride On !!!

This post really spoke to me. If you can take the time to squeeze in 30 minutes of exercise in the middle of graduation festivites then I really have no excuse. It’s funny how we can convince ourselves we have no time for excercise but all of a sudden we’ve watched a 30 minute program on TV or frittered away 30 minutes on the internet reading about celebrity antics. Thank you so much for the inspiration and here’s to 30 minutes of activity a day, no matter what!
