From KT – June 16, 2012
Happy Trails DaVita-Land,
My daughter is graduating from college this weekend, so many of you know what a special weekend it is. We had to leave the house at 8:30 am this morning for the Baccalaureate ceremony, then the Class Day speech, then a reception. We only got home about an hour ago and are preparing for 140 people to come over in about an hour – so my only window was this morning, I got up and did a good 24 minutes on the bike (the “hill program”, at maximum level), curls (18×20), crunches (100) and then push-ups and some stretching.
I felt great this morning, and set a new push-up record for me, at 52. They are pretty good quality, but arms a bit wider than shoulder width because I have a shoulder issue which no longer allows me to put them closer together.
Total minutes was 32.
I am also still glowing from the backpacking. I love getting outside for 48 hours straight, with good hiking. It was in the White River National Forest, the Eagle Nest’s Wilderness – I don’t know if that is one of the areas you are all visiting also or not, is it?
I hope many of you can take advantage of this weekend and do some great stuff for your health! It is just like putting a deposit in a bank for your financial future – exercise is like putting a deposit in your body for your health future.
Let’s Go Partners! kt

It is great that you find time for exercise no matter how busy you are. It is an insperation to me. I am always so busy, that I forget to add myself to the mix. I have a husband, and three teenage daughters, and am always doing things to help them, and I am going to school to get my Masters degree. Hearing how busy you are, but you still make time for exercise is encouraging me to make sure I fit “me” into my days as well. Thank you.

I agree with Kathleen KT-I get tired just reading your posts! Flying alone is enough to wear a body out. I was going to blow off my boxing and work out tonight because I had a not so hot weekend (well it was 112 in Phoenix yesterday so in that dept it was warm!) but I’m going to go.
Have a great week to all and be Happy! :)…

KT – We need to make physical “deposits” for future health just like we make dollar deposits for the financial future! kt
