From KT – August 15, 2011
Yo DaVitans!
A strong day here – starting with 8.5 hours of sleep, which felt like a great gift. I then started the day with a 2 hour and 20 minute absolutely beautiful ride through the hills of Tuscany. A total of 2600 feet of ascent, and the pleasure of visiting 3 tiny hill towns with buildings dating back hundreds of years, with people still living in them.
I had 1.4 servings of fruit for breakfast, and .5 servings of veggies at lunch, tomatoes and asparagus, but not big helpings of either. Time will tell on dinner, we are off in a minute.
Hope you all had a good day – short note from me because I had to do a couple hours of work just now, so have to turn my attention back to vacation.

Yo Carrie! Thanks for best wishes. I am on the plane home after the 5 days in Italy – I did not score as many points as I had hoped, because of some work emergencies and the fact that I am working both weekends – but I will take another try at some vacation time soon, hopefully after some of these deals get done, one way or the other! Hope you are well, as your enthusiasm keeps me going also …. Take care, KT

Pam Wieser GRAND JUNCTION, CO Hey all you ciclismos out there. My sweetheart and I just finished my most favorite mountain bike ride in Colo. The Monarch Crest Trail. If you have the opportunity to experience this ride, DO IT! It is high-altitude single-track riding with a rockets to the jaw descent.

Teresa Parrott GARDEN GROVE, CA Well after a week & not able to do much because my hip is bothering me I’ve decided to get an x-ray. Still staying positive and doing upper body work outs instead but I sure miss my bike. I’m taking K.T.’s advise & going to get in the pool. I don’t want this to set me back on what I have already accomplished. Thanks everyone for your motivation. It really does help!! See you on the trails!!!
