Kidney Diet Tips

Happy Holiday Eating

Holiday Cookies  Happy Holiday Eating!
Part of enjoying the holidays is staying healthy. For kidney patients this is a challenge since holidays are centered on food and drinks. How you approach this challenge can make all the difference!

Instead of focusing on what you can’t have, take a different spin and focus on the positive things you have in your life—like family, friends and little things that you enjoy. Focus on diet as a tool to help keep you from being fluid overloaded, itchy from phosphorus or weak from potassium imbalance. Even though it’s a pain, following your diet can mean feeling good during and after social gatherings and special holiday events!
