5 things to look forward to at DaVita’s Physician Leadership Meeting
This year’s DaVita Physician Leadership Meeting (PLM) will be held Feb. 27 and 28 in San Diego, Calif. PLM is a gathering of DaVita medical directors and business leaders. This will be the ninth and largest PLM, with more than 1,000 attendees from 46 states across the country, including 700-plus medical directors.
This meeting will allow attendees to focus on celebrating the great clinical achievements of 2013 and hear about the innovative clinical initiatives for 2014 and beyond, as well as network with colleagues.
Five things to look forward to at PLM 2014:
1. Keynote presentation on the future of healthcare in America, from author and futurist Ian Morrison, PhD (find him at @seccurve on Twitter)
2. DaVita Clinical Quality Pyramid* discussion – rethinking the care paradigm to drive the key primary clinical outcomes for dialysis patients
3. IT innovations, including hands-on training for current Falcon EHR users and a session about rounding on mobile devices
4. Discussion on the importance of educating patients about the clinical benefits of working while on dialysis and options for remaining employed once they start treatment
5. Multiple interactive breakout sessions around clinical initiatives
