This is a very good list encouraging changing a possible negative mindset into a positive experience enjoying good fruits and vegetables, protein that are really good for our bodies. I have found that even after years of eating the CKD and now the dialysis diet, that I really enjoy eating more healthy choices and feeling better. I wish I had eaten this way all my life.

I do not feel deprived at all, and really have not ever. Well, I used to miss chocolate and cheese in the beginning. But, occasionally have mozzarello, provolone, feta cheese in the white family of cheeses and it is satisfying, since I am a lover of Italian dishes.

I have posted this article on my FB page for others to read and enjoy. Thank you for such good input into our health and giving ideas to help us keep a positive outlook.

i find that personlizing the diet has helped me alot. my diet consits of fast food I was honest with diettian. and she was able to bring up some info on some national chains and we have worked on local resturant menus to see what is avilable and what is off limit. Unless the diet has the food that is available to me im not ablr to follow.
