    interesting but sad,in the era of corporate control,bureaucracy,confusion creation,outright lies and intimidation there seems to be slim chance of easy answers to very complex problem of sick and deprived.

    Dear Bob:

    Thanks for this provocative blog. You seem to let our legislators “off the hook” and place the blame on the regulators. Many of the constraints you mention are enforced by the OIG and Justice Department, having been imposed legislatively, ie Stark… The same rules and laws that keep us from affording effective access to care (transportation), keep us from providing nutrition and other social services.

    I like your social and societal concern. Keep at it.
